kardia is web-based shift planning and time tracking software for small teams. Managers use it to build shift schedules and track employee hours. Employees use it to clock in and out, view their schedule, and request time corrections.

Who is kardia for?

kardia is designed for small businesses, medical practices, retail shops, hospitality teams, and service businesses with 2–50 employees — especially those that currently manage shifts and time in spreadsheets or paper.

How does time tracking work?

Employees open the app and tap to start their shift. They can pause for breaks and stop when they're done. Break duration rules (such as German Arbeitszeitgesetz requirements) are enforced automatically. Admins and managers see all entries in real time.

Can I plan shifts in advance?

Yes. Managers create shift slots, assign team members, and publish the plan. Employees see their upcoming shifts immediately. Shift templates make recurring schedules faster to build each week.

How do I export hours for payroll?

Go to the Export section, select a month, and download a CSV with all tracked hours per employee. The file is ready for most payroll tools and accountants.

Does kardia work for teams across multiple locations?

Yes. The PRO plan supports up to 10 locations and the Enterprise plan supports unlimited locations. Managers see a real-time view of who is working where, and employees can be assigned to one or several sites. Shift plans, payroll exports and audit logs all stay scoped per location.

How is kardia priced — per user or flat?

kardia PRO is a flat €10 per month (excl. VAT) for the whole company — not per user. Whether you have 5 or 100 employees the price stays the same. The FREE plan covers up to 10 people at €0, and Enterprise pricing is custom for unlimited scale.

Is kardia compliant with the German Arbeitszeitgesetz (ArbZG)?
